Mama Roseline Mukubuni Namalwa of Sabata, Kiminini constituency, was today handed the keys to a brand new two-bedroom, fully furnished house by the patron of the George Natembeya Foundation, H.E Governor George Natembeya in a heartwarming ceremony. The Foundation’s housing initiative, which aims to uplift vulnerable individuals by providing them with dignified homes, has already transformed the lives of several families in Trans Nzoia County.
Mama Roseline’s new home is not just a shelter, but a safe and comfortable space designed to help her enjoy her sunset years in peace. The house comes fully furnished, offering all the essentials to ensure a comfortable living environment. This effort is part of the Foundation’s holistic approach to supporting the most vulnerable in our communities by addressing not only their immediate needs but also fostering long-term well-being.
The George Natembeya Foundation has so far provided five families with fully furnished housing units, with homes spread across different parts of Trans Nzoia County. Mama Roseline is the third beneficiary of this noble initiative, with each housing unit tailored to meet the specific needs of its recipients, ensuring they can live with dignity and security.
During the handover ceremony, Governor Natembeya reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to building sustainable, safe, and dignified housing for those in need. He emphasized that providing a home is one of the most important ways to restore hope and dignity to vulnerable members of the community. Governor Natembeya called upon community members to continue supporting the Foundation’s efforts and to bring forward more cases of individuals who would benefit from such support.
Mama Roseline expressed her heartfelt gratitude for this life-changing gift, acknowledging the peace and comfort that her new home will bring to her. As a widow facing various challenges, the provision of this home symbolizes not just shelter, but a fresh start filled with hope.

The George Natembeya Foundation continues to expand its housing initiative, with plans to reach more families across the county. The initiative forms part of the Foundation’s broader mission to holistically support communities through health interventions, educational scholarships, economic empowerment, and environmental stewardship.
With each new home delivered, the Foundation takes another step toward building a more inclusive and caring society, ensuring that the most vulnerable are not left behind.
