The George Natembeya Foundation (GNF) has taken a groundbreaking step in restoring hope and dignity to amputees in Trans Nzoia County. Under its Medical Support Program, the foundation facilitated the provision of prosthetic limbs and arms to those in dire need, ensuring they receive the assistance they have long been denied.
With the unwavering support of Patron H.E. Governor George Natembeya and the leadership of Chairman Professor Ferdinand Nang’ole, GNF sought dedicated partners to turn this vision into reality. This led to a remarkable collaboration with Narayan Seva Sansthan, which agreed to support a pilot batch of 10 amputees.
From Selection to Transformation
To ensure fairness and inclusivity, GNF conducted a thorough vetting process, selecting individuals from diverse genders, regions, ethnicities, and age groups across Trans Nzoia County. These beneficiaries embarked on their journey to Kijabe on 11th November 2024 for prosthetic measurements—a trip fully funded and facilitated by the foundation.
Many of them carried with them a history of disappointment and exploitation by fraudulent organizations, but this time, their story was different.
After successful measurements, the foundation covered their return trip for the final prosthetics fitting. And today, in an emotional and triumphant moment, these heroes returned to Kitale, where they were warmly received by Patron H.E. George Natembeya himself.
A Commitment to Dignity and Inclusion
This initiative is a powerful reminder that no one should be forgotten or marginalized. It marks just the beginning of many more journeys of healing and transformation—a testament to GNF’s commitment to changing lives through meaningful action.
“We must never forget the most vulnerable among us. This is just the beginning of many more initiatives aimed at restoring dignity and hope,” — H.E. George Natembeya
