After receiving a fully furnished two-bedroom house from the George Natembeya Foundation on July 12th, 2024, Mama Gladys Akala of Mwibono village, Keiyo Ward, Kwanza constituency, has experienced a remarkable transformation in her life. We recently sent one of our team members to check on her progress, and the news is overwhelmingly positive.
Mama Gladys is thriving in her new home, and we are hopeful that the persistent jigger infestation she has been battling will be completely eradicated within the next month. Her improved living conditions have not only provided her with a safe and comfortable space but also contributed significantly to her overall health and well-being.
At the George Natembeya Foundation, we are deeply committed to ensuring that vulnerable individuals in our society receive the dignity they deserve. Providing decent and safe living spaces, along with addressing critical needs, is at the heart of our mission. The success of Mama Gladys’s story reaffirms our belief in creating lasting, positive change in the lives of those most in need.
Mama Gladys’s journey is just one example of how a dignified home can pave the way for a healthier, happier future. We look forward to continuing our efforts and making a difference in many more lives.
