Today marked a momentous occasion for the George Natembeya Foundation (GNF) as its Patron accepted a transformative donation of Ksh. 256,000 from Dr. Joshua Mugendi of GrowthPact, alongside an advanced medical container designed as a Level 2 facility. This donation represents a critical stride in GNF’s ongoing commitment to providing accessible healthcare to underserved communities, amplifying the foundation’s ability to deliver essential medical services to those who need it most.
The event, held with esteemed guests including Mr. Martin Kariuki, Manager of Family Bank Kitale, Family Bank officers, and representatives from GrowthPact, showcased the shared dedication to community health and the spirit of collaboration. One of the foundation’s directors joined the Patron in receiving the dummy cheque, symbolizing the united efforts that will enhance healthcare access across the region.
Dr. Mugendi’s contribution extends beyond financial support. GrowthPact delivered a state-of-the-art medical container, equipped to operate as a Level 2 medical facility. This container, designed with crucial medical needs in mind, features a generator for continuous power, a refrigerator for storing medical supplies, and a storage cabin for equipment. It also includes a consultation area, a hospital bed capable of handling childbirth, an ultra spins scanning machine, equipment for minor surgeries, and air conditioning to ensure a comfortable environment for both patients and healthcare providers.
The George Natembeya Foundation is profoundly grateful for this partnership, which exemplifies the power of community-driven initiatives in improving healthcare services for vulnerable populations. With this new facility, the foundation will be able to expand its medical outreach, delivering comprehensive care in remote areas and improving the quality of life for many individuals and families in need.
