Earlier today, Governor George Natembeya, patron of the George Natembeya Foundation, handed over a fully furnished two-bedroom house to Mama Gladys Akala (Mshere) of Mwibono village, Keiyo Ward, Kwanza constituency. This event marks another milestone in the foundation’s ongoing commitment to assist vulnerable families lacking decent housing.
During the handover ceremony, Governor Natembeya highlighted the plight of numerous families struggling to make ends meet. He emphasized the foundation’s dedication to addressing these challenges and called upon individuals aware of deserving cases in their communities to reach out to the foundation for support.
“Today, we are not just providing a house; we are giving hope and dignity to Mama Gladys Akala and her family,” Governor Natembeya stated. “There are many families in our communities who face similar struggles. We urge anyone who knows of a deserving family to contact us so we can extend our support.”
The George Natembeya Foundation has already constructed housing units in every subcounty, ensuring that each unit serves a deserving family in need. This widespread effort underscores the foundation’s mission to create safe and secure living conditions for all.
Mama Gladys Akala expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying, “This new home is a blessing beyond words. I am deeply thankful to Governor Natembeya and the George Natembeya Foundation for their kindness and support. This house represents a fresh start for my family.”

The foundation’s housing initiative is part of a broader outreach effort to uplift the less fortunate and foster sustainable development within communities. By providing essential resources and support, the George Natembeya Foundation continues to drive positive change and improve the quality of life for many.
The handover ceremony was a powerful reminder of the impact that compassion and collective action can have in transforming lives. With the continued support of partners, donors, and the community, the George Natembeya Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to build a brighter future for all.
