The George Natembeya Foundation took a profound step today in fulfilling the educational aspirations of Beryl Kaskoni, a young woman whose dream of higher education had seemed unattainable. Despite being accepted into Kibabii University in 2023, Beryl faced insurmountable financial barriers that prevented her from starting her studies. Raised by her elderly and ailing grandparents, her hope of advancing her education dimmed as financial challenges mounted.
A few days ago, a team from the foundation visited Beryl’s home to fully understand her situation. Deeply moved by her story and inspired by her resilience, the foundation committed to helping Beryl achieve her goals. Earlier today, Patron H.E. George Natembeya presented her with a cheque for 100,000 shillings, which will cover her initial university expenses and also enable her to purchase essential items for her grandparents, who have been her primary support system.
This heartwarming act aligns with the George Natembeya Foundation’s mission to uplift vulnerable individuals and strengthen communities. Guided by core values of compassion and empowerment, the foundation is dedicated to making a meaningful impact through initiatives that provide access to education, healthcare, dignified housing, and vital social support.
With this generous support, Beryl Kaskoni is now empowered to pursue her dreams, a testament to the foundation’s commitment to shaping a future where no young person is denied the chance to succeed due to financial hardship.
